Merilyn Simonds, Artistic Director of the Kingston Writers Festival, also spoke at the unveiling: ?I?m thrilled that the first bookmark in our area is Bronwen Wallace...I think what was most valuable about Bronwen Wallace was her openness to writers of all types, to literary expression, and I?m thrilled that Kingston WritersFest is able to participate in this memorial to her. Hopefully thousands of people will pass this plaque and read these few words and go on to explore her body of work as a whole.?
