Novel Idea holds events at the store for many local authors. For example, Oscar told me that he recently let a local writer use the store space for poetry readings, which would be broadcast during the Queen's Radio Station's weekly poetry show. They are also involved in supporting the Kingston WritersFest at the end of September.
