An update to some of this week's news and features on Open Book: Toronto.

This week brings us an At The Desk interview with Sylvia Gunnery, who children's book Emily For Real was recently published by Pajama Press.

The latest On Writing interview is with Linda Holeman. Holeman historical novel about 1860s Russia, called The Lost Souls of Angelkov, was recently published by Random House Canada. In the interview, Holeman talks about how she came up with the novel, where her interest in Russia and the peroid came from and what historical fiction has to offer the reader.

In an earlier On Writing interview, Hilary Dean, the winner of the 2012 CBC Creative Nonfiction Prize, discussed her winning story ?Holy Bald-Headed? and what it felt like to write a non-fiction story.
