Calling all comic book fans! John Denison is boldly going where few have gone before. Once the man behind Canadian publishing house Boston Mills Press, Denison is now the creator of Occam?s Razor, an online comic book slash publishing portal of unique downloadable content and crowdsourced illustration, launching on January 1st, 2012. Starting then, illustrated chapters will be released to the public one day at a time.

Occam?s Razor tells a graphic, intergalactic story about a retired comic book creator who is kidnapped by one of his creations and pulled into the comic book?s world (think the 1992 film Cool World). Dressed as the comic?s heroine, Major Occam, his young daughter jumps in to save him. And that is just the beginning.

Occam?s Razor is a classic story of Good vs. Evil told in a non-traditional way. Along with his graphic design team, Denison is working to build an online world that visitors can contribute to, whether through artwork, music, videos, anything that can contribute to the story and world of Occam's Razor. Denison hopes to reach out to a new generation of online readers with downloadable apps, video games and personalized content.

Denison also hopes to achieve something different by putting out an open call to all artists, illustrators, graphic designers and more, who are interested in contributing their artwork or other creative endeavours for possible inclusion in the comic. The site will also function as a hub for those contributing to the book to exchange their ideas and artwork.

Once every chapter has been released, Denison will pick the best artwork and print a hard copy. Plans are being developed for an ebook, and so that future buyers can customize their purchase with the artwork of their choice.
