25th Trillium Award

Announcing Hamilton's New Short Works Prize for Writing

Share |

While the big prizes usually go to the books, it's important to recognize the excellent, often unsung creative work undertaken by writers who dedicate their talents and energies to stand-alone short pieces of writing. That's why Bryan Prince Booksellers and the Hamilton Public Library, with funding from the Hamilton Authors Series, have teamed up to create the new Short Works Prize for writers from the Hamilton area. If you are a Hamilton author with published short works of poetry, fiction or non-fiction, then this is the competition for you. There is also an "Off the Radar" category for as-yet unpublished works. A prize of $200 will be awarded in each of the four categories.

The contest opens on September 3, 2023 and runs until March 31, 2023. Click here for more details.
